Really solid product. Does a great job, and feels awesome to have the exact same feel on the blades every single game. Learned a lot about blades as part of getting this, too. I have this plugged in to the back of my truck at nearly every pre-game tailgate :)

The company is so good and helpful as well. Everyone - including myself - who's purchased a sharpener has noticed that the come with perfect alignment out of the box. I had questions and the handle on the skate holder broke (my own fault); a quick text chat with them and my questions were answered and a new handle arrived in the mailbox mere days later.

I've been watching Sparx for a long time now. I liked the idea, just had a hard time justifying the cost. However, it was getting more difficult to get my skates sharpened during COVID, and even after. The pro shops at the local rinks had limited hours/staff and none were open during the times that I was there to skate. I had even driven to the rink during a time that they were supposed to be open only to find out when I got there that they didn't have anyone to open it that day. Then I ended up having to drive an additional 20 minutes to the next closest hockey shop.

During that time I was able to get my skates sharpened at the rink's pro shop only once. However, the person in the shop was new and didn't know how to do a flat bottom hollow. So, after years of skating a flat bottom, I had to give it up that night. I decided to stop with the flat bottom at that point since I didn't know if I was going to be able to consistently have it done depending on which shop/person I was going to find available to sharpen.

The frustration of driving at least an hour round trip to get skates sharpened and the inconsistency of the people sharpening is what made me finally decided to invest in a Sparx. The availability of the Fire rings is what nudged me to do it.

So, long story short, it's great to be back on a hollow that I love and I've never had this much confidence in my edges. They feel great each and every night. Thank you Sparx team for putting your passion into designing this…
